Here are a few things to do and not to do before your big day.
If you are the bride wear white or cream colored top to your consultation. The makeup that looked awesome with your dark jeans & t-shirt might look washed out when you wear a white gown.
Bring a few pictures of makeup looks you like to your consultation, that way the artist can get an idea of your style. check out my Pinterest boards to get inspired.
Stay out of the sun. A Makeup Artist can give you a fake tan but she can’t do a thing about burnt skin!
Don’t use any new products two weeks before the big day, you don’t want to be surprised with any rash or break outs.
Start using moisturizer and lip balm (at least two weeks before!), make sure to put it on the morning of the wedding.
Exfoliate your lips when you wake up with lip scrub to get rid of any dry skin (you can create one by mixing oil & sugar) then apply lip balm. This will help the lipstick go on smoothly and last longer.
If you plan on having any beauty treatments done, make sure you give yourself a few days for the redness/ swelling to go down, also don't do any treatment you haven't done before (no surprise reactions).
Stay hydrated – it will help your skin look its best for the big day.
Pack a little bag for makeup emergencies; powder & lipstick for touch-ups, eye drops, tissues, Q-tips and makeup remover wipes.
Remember you’re never truly dressed without a smile!
