I started this routine when I was working in a corporate office, it still services me well as a mom and makeup artist. Everyday makeup should be no fuss, easy to put on, take off and last all day.
Long lasting eyeshadow; There are a lot of long lasting cream shadows in the market both high end and drug store, in my kit I have metallic one from L’Oréal and a matte one from MAC. Choose a mid-tone color so you can use only one color all over the lid
Eyeliner; There are a few options when it comes to eyeliner. If you’re a pro at putting on liner go for the liquid or gel liners. I personally use a dark eyeshadow (mostly brown) for every day, I take an angled liner brush dip it in the eyeshadow then in eyeshadow sealer and apply it close to the lash line. If you don’t have a sealer you can use water but it might wear off. At this point you can put on mascara however I think it depends on your lashes and it’s not a must.
Tinted moisturized; I like to wear a tinted moisturized (BB, CC, EE creams…) I like to have my sunscreen, moisturizer and foundation all in one so it saves time and money. Typically these products have a light coverage, if you feel like you need better coverage find a foundation with SPF in it. How you apply it is up to you, it’s all about efficacy in the morning.
Blush; I find that blush is the first thing that fades so again I recommend a cream one you can dab a half a drop on both cheeks. A fool proof color is peach.
Lipstick; For lips there are two formula options. One is a tinted balm which you can apply throughout the day without a mirror, also a plus during the winter. Another options is a long lasting lipstick but keep in mind that you will probably have to reapply after lunch. I love wear bold lipstick, I find that bold colors are more wearable for everyday if it’s in a lip balm formula.
What is your everyday must?
